UK Drink Can Recycling Rate Increases to 76%

The 2019 UK drink can recycling rate has reached a new high of 76%!  The new aluminium packaging recycling rates were announced by Alupro (the Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation) yesterday (read the original news release here: https://alupro.org.uk/uk-aluminium-packaging-recycling-rate-hits-new-heights-in-rapidly-growing-market/).

The Every Can Counts team will be picking their favourite designs and giving out some great prizes.  The creator of the winning design will receive a Nintendo Switch, and 3 runners up will be given the choice between an Amazon Fire tablet and an Instant Camera!

Brits call for more ‘on the go’ can recycling facilities

As our habit for consuming ‘on-the-go’ food and drink continues to rise, research conducted by Every Can Counts has highlighted that 60% of consumers are calling for more can recycling facilities on the street, while 56% would like to see more on beach fronts, and 51% are calling for more facilities at music and sporting events.
